Deep water is an audiovisual experience that takes the viewer on a submersive journey through breathtaking deep-sea realms.
For this collaboration with the passionate diver and videographer Evgeny Kovban, Sasha Pushkin composed and produced different piano compositions, combining poetic underwater visuals with neoclassical and new - age music styles, modern ambient and his own sound vision. This is an ode to the sea’s elegance and wonder, inviting us to surrender and drift along deep water currents.
Sasha Pushkin is a unique composer - a musician with the phenomenal ability to instantly create ready compositions, many of which can impress with both beautiful melody, and a conceptual atonal approach.
His mastery of different styles allows him to move easily between eras, moods and rhythms. Classical-dramatic elements can suddenly turn into smooth jazz, seriousness can turn into a joke, deep meditative immersion into a sudden storm.
Sasha calls himself an "Improcomposer" and his method "Exprovisation". He has created many concepts and projects with musicians, dancers, artists, poets and writers from different cultures and continents, with partly diametrically opposed directions and styles.
Creating a new, clean and intense creative process is what interests the artist. And the public can witness the living magic of creativity, touching the source at that very pure, blank moment.
