Welcome to Retobilinguismo LLC — a Spanish language center born from the dream of weaving joy, culture, and connection into every child’s learning journey. As an Ecuadorian immigrant, artist, and nature lover, I founded Mamaestra to provide immersive Spanish experiences for families with children ages 0–10+, right here in the heart of San Francisco’s Presidio and Golden Gate.

Many Latino and non-Latino parents dream of raising bilingual children, but once the baby is in your arms, the question arises: “Yes, we can… but then what?” That’s where Retobilinguismo.LLC comes in.

Using applied linguistics and neuroscience, we know that language develops best when it is active, meaningful, and connected to real-life experiences. With this in mind, we created Mamaestra programs for every stage of childhood:

• Mamaestra (0–3 years): Planting the seeds of language through songs, gestures, and routines, nurturing early brain connections that set the foundation for bilingualism. We help you to do the job.
• Loritos (3–5 years): Learning through nature, play, and exploration, where children internalize Spanish naturally as they move, sing, and interact with peers. We both work together.
• Level Up (6–8 years): Strengthening formal and functional language skills, combining cognitive growth and social interaction to help children experience a second language, sometimes this time is their first time. I do the job that the education system should have done.
• Yo y Mi Mundo (8–10+ years): Expanding their world, living language through projects, storytelling, and hands-on experiences that make Spanish a part of their daily lives.

For Young Learners (0-3) Mamaestra

Mamaestra & Me I, II, III is a joyful coaching experience for mamas and their little ones (0–3), blending Latino music, movement, baby-friendly Spanish for moms, and heartwarming mama chats. We meet every Saturday.

Sing, play, and connect—while learning practical Spanish you can use every day. A gentle, fun way to raise bilingual babies—together.

Loritos Spanish Immersion (2-5): Live the language. (Golden Gate Park ONLY)

Loritos is a 3-hour Spanish immersion adventure designed for children ages 2 to 5. Through nature explorations, creative art projects, and interactive games, children experience Spanish in a joyful, hands-on environment—no desks required!

What makes Loritos special?

What happens after your child learns the first 100 words?

Yo y Mi Mundo.

After mastering colors, numbers, places, professions, parts of the body, and the house, children are ready for the next step: using their vocabulary in real-life contexts. That’s where our “Yo y Mi Mundo” program comes in!

In this program, children learn to apply language actively:

• Yo soy… (I am…) → Describe themselves and others
• Yo tengo… (I have…) → Talk about possessions and needs
• Yo quiero… (I want…) → Express desires and choices
• Yo puedo… (I can…) → Show abilities and actions
• Yo necesito… (I need…) → Ask for help or items
• Yo voy… (I go…) → Describe movement and plans
• Yo hago… (I do…) → Explain what they are doing

Through hands-on activities, games, art, and storytelling, children practice using these structures naturally, making Spanish a living language rather than just memorized words. This is the bridge from vocabulary learning to confident communication, preparing them for more advanced language use in school and daily life.
