FAQ'S

How long are the sessions?
Each session lasts about 60 minutes and provides a balance of breathwork, movement, and meditation in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.

Do they need any previous experience with meditation or yoga?
No prior experience is necessary. This program is designed for beginners and all levels, and the simple techniques are accessible to everyone. We ensure that all children, regardless of their current level of stress or anxiety, can benefit from and participate in the program.

What should my child wear to the sessions?
Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement is ideal. Think yoga pants, leggings, or loose-fitting shorts and a t-shirt. We’ll be doing light stretching and gentle movement, so they should feel free to move without restrictions.

What if my child is shy or nervous about joining?
We understand that some children may feel hesitant or anxious about new experiences. The program is structured to create a safe, inclusive environment where everyone can participate at their own pace. No one is ever forced to share or participate in ways that make them uncomfortable.

Will there be any take-home materials?
Yes! After each session, your child will receive simple handouts with the breathwork, movement, or meditation exercises we practiced. These are great tools to help them continue the practices at home whenever they need them.

Can I attend the sessions with my child?
This program is designed specifically for youth, so the sessions will focus on creating a peer group where they feel safe and supported by their peers. However, we encourage parents to ask their children about what they learned after each session, and we’re happy to provide tips for supporting their practice at home.

How can I support my child at home?
You can encourage them to practice the techniques they learn during the sessions. Creating a calm space at home where they feel comfortable engaging in their breathwork or meditation can reinforce the practices. We’ll provide some helpful prompts and exercises you can explore together as a family!
