Matt Morgan

Matt Morgan is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine, Honorary Professor for the Public Understanding of Medicine, and a regular BMJ columnist.

He is medical advisor to The National Theatre London’s production of Nye and BBC Radio 4’s panel show Best Medicine.

A prize-nominated communicator, he delivered the 2023 Woodridge and 2025 James Reason Lectures, was listed among the top fifty most influential health tech people in 2024, and is a member of the BMJ Commission on the Future of the NHS.

He is the author of three acclaimed books exploring survival, mortality, and what it means to live.
