Council-Organized Trips
From local sights and landmarks to those around the world, Girl Scouts has an adventure opportunity for every type of traveler. Girl Scouts of Northern California offers annual trips for youth in the Cadette, Senior and Ambassador levels from around the council to travel together and experience new adventures. Special money earning, scholarship, and financial aid opportunities are available to youth travelers to help pay for their council-organized trips!
General Information
Trips serve Girl Scouts Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (grades 6–12) **see trips details for each trip's age range.
Girl Scouts can use Product Program reward cards to pay for part or all of their trip.
For international travel, all travelers need to have passports at least 110 days before they depart on their trip.
Exclusive money-earning opportunities are available for youth signed up for council trips.
Troop members can sign up together.
Financial Aid is available to youth who qualify.
All dates listed are timelines that families should be flexible with, as the trips can be scheduled plus or minus 4 days of the requested dates.
Trip prices include flights from SFO airport, but travelers must make their own arrangements to get to and from the airport.

National Council Session in DC
July 21, 2026 - July 26, 2026 -- 6 days
Age range: Girl Scouts ages 11 to 15 at the time of the trip.
Potential Future National Delegates: Take a trip to Washington, DC with Girl Scouts! YOU plan the activities before the trip!
Price Includes:
Roundtrip airfare from San Francisco, CA
6 day pass to the Girl Scout National Convention including special activities, performances and classes
3 days of exploration in Washington DC- planned by travelers
3 day Metro Pass
Hop On Hop Off bus tour
5 nights hotel (4 youth/room)
5 breakfasts and 5 dinners (lunch on your own)
Youth patrol with young alumnae chaperones
GSUSA Convention Patch
Pre-trip virtual planning meetings with all travelers
$250 non refundable deposit
Fee: $2000/youth (financial assistance available from council)Deadline: open until filled
