For this month’s conversation, I’m joined by my longtime friend, Byron Ragains. Byron works with David C. Cook and has walked through some deep valleys himself. He’s also walked alongside me through many of my own seasons of grief. He’s the real deal.
This conversation is about more than just the loss of a loved one—it’s about grieving the loss of a dream, a friendship, a plan, and so much more. How do we walk through it? And how do we find beauty on the other side? I know this will be a rich and meaningful conversation.

Byron Ragains career began and continues at David C Cook. 42 years he has traveled the country pouring into ministry leaders specially in Children’s and Family Ministry space. “I have had a front row seat with a cushion to watch Mel speak and lead and to be moved and awakened as a mighty ministry leader she is!”
As Director of Church Relations and Ministry Solutions Byron has the privilege of living out his calling as he works in tandem with leaders and the Lord’s church. Byron and family reside in St. Charles, IL a sleepy suburb of Chicago. Loves shooting hoops with his 9-year-old grandson, watching the Cubs and building birdhouses.
