"Mels place was the perfect, peaceful getaway.
All amenities needed (and more) were provided. Close enough to grocery stores, and other needs, while still providing a true sense of solitude and serenity. Mel was a responsive and thoughtful host. The chalet was clean, and lovely with many extra "little touches" to make it unique and memorable.
The property is beautiful both day and night.
And It was amazing being able to explore the lake via paddleboard.

"From the second we pulled into the beautifully lit yard until the moment we sadly pulled out, Bluestone Chalet felt like home. Extremely welcoming and beautifully decorated, it soared past our highest expectations.
The kitchen was beyond well stocked in both supplies and equipment. There was a huge selection of common spices, condiments, tea & coffee. Not once did we go for something to make a meal and not be able to find the equipment needed.
The welcome package was cute and exciting.
The information binder was clearly laid out with explicit instructions for each piece of equipment which was unbelievably helpful.
Local suggestions helped us make a plan for a drive and dinner.
Charming and inviting, some of the best surprises were the record player stocked with a great selection of music and a bunch of different games to keep us entertained."

"There are too many good things to say about
Mel's chalet. Right from the get go, Mel treated us like we were family; we were booked to visit in the fall but had an emergency with our four legged child, and Mel was so accommodating with our date change (she even checked back in a few days later to make sure our pup was doing ok!). The chalet was easy to find, with clear & detailed instructions leading us down beautiful snow-covered roads that reminded us of being back home in Newfoundland. Nestled about halfway between the road and the lake was the chalet, with enough tree coverage and privacy to make you feel secluded, but not too isolated should you stay here alone. The sprawling property is extremely well thought out, with added touches to make it ever so special. The chalet itself is stunningly well kept; you can tell it's been cherished. The inside is magnificently home-y, and is decorated so tastefully. We enjoyed our sweet & spicy treat, and left one in return. We WILL be back!"

"This chalet is beautiful, cosy, quaint with wonderful touches. Situated on a lake, with music softly playing we felt welcomed as soon as we entered. Mel covered all bases - well equipped with lovely features. Technology usage and house features were all well explained in a book. She left a riddle for my granddaughter with a treat to be discovered upon solving it! This is a place the one does not want to leave. I highly recommend this awesome chalet."

"This magical little cabin that was surrounded by fairie lights and nestled in the woods along the lake was exactly as described. The cabin was perfectly decorated and had everything needed to make your stay comfortable, plus some extras to make you feel extra special.
Everything was exactly what you want for an escape from home. We didn't want to leave!

You can tell they love their property by the detail in the cleanliness, decoration, and extra curricular activities they provided! Highly recommend."

"Peaceful perfection! Mel's chalet was truly one of the best airbnbs l've stayed at. The cabin itself was clean, thoughtfully stocked, and very comfortable. The property was serene, with plenty of activities to do on site. It was quiet and private, secluded but not too remote.
We stayed as longer stay guests (~ one month) and both worked from home with ease. The wifi was dependable and could handle two video calls at once no problem.
Mel is incredibly responsive and helpful, she provides everything and more than you'll need and is just a quick message away if you need anything else.
Would highly recommend to anyone needing a moment away to recharge, connect with nature, and find some zen!"
