CHILDREN'S CREATIVE MINDFULNESS RETREAT

SUITABLE FOR AGES 8-12 YEARS OLD

SUNDAY 1ST DECEMBER

10AM-4PM

Tir Na Nog Holistic Centre, Balfunning, G63 0NF

I am delighted to run these children’s mindfulness retreats at a special venue, Tir na nog. I have been running adult mindfulness retreats for 5 years and I am so pleased to start to offer these days out to children.

With having two children of my own I am excited for these retreats to become part of our family life and to invite your children to our retreat days to create some fun and magic and learn a bit about mindfulness and how it can benefit their every day life.

During the retreats we will cover a whole host of different activities and each retreat will be a different theme. I have lots of mindfulness activities to cover so your child will never be bored or come to the same session twice.

Some of the themes we will cover at these retreats:

What is mindfulness?

Creative mindfulness activities

Being present

Being kind to friends

Being kind to ourselves

Worry meditation

Mindfulness and anxiety for children

The monkey mind (overthinking and what to do with this)

WHAT YOUR CHILD CAN EXPECT ON THE DAY:

  • Exploring lots of creative mindfulness
  • Guided children's meditations
  • Walking in the fairy woodland
  • Hot chocolate breathing meditation
  • Toasting marshmallows by the log fire
  • Children's journalling

It will be a very engaging and interactive day and most of all lots of FUN!

Why Your Child Would Benefit By Taking Part:

  • Enhancing Emotional Well-Being: The retreat days focus on teaching mindfulness techniques tailored for children, such as being present and managing anxiety. These skills can help your child navigate everyday challenges with greater ease and emotional resilience.
  • Encouraging Creativity: Through a variety of creative mindfulness activities, your child will have the opportunity to express their imagination and creativity in a fun and supportive environment. These activities are designed to be both enjoyable and beneficial for their mental well-being.
  • Promoting Physical and Mental Engagement: The retreats are designed to be engaging and interactive, with plenty of outdoor woodland activities and games. These activities not only provide physical exercise but also promote a sense of adventure and enjoyment.
  • Developing Social Skills: The retreat days include group activities that encourage children to make new friends and practice kindness towards others and themselves. This is a great way for your child to develop important social skills in a supportive setting.
  • Learning Lifelong Skills: By learning about mindfulness, your child will gain valuable tools to manage stress, reduce overthinking, and cultivate a calm and focused mind. These are lifelong skills that can enhance their overall well-being and success in various aspects of life.

These retreats are designed to be a fun and enriching experience for your child, combining the benefits of mindfulness with the joy of creative play and outdoor activities.
