Behind The Artist

Connecticut born Colombian-American Hip Hop artist Nico Fuego was raised in the Greater New Haven Area. Brought up in a Paisa household to the smooth sounds of Latin music while also exposed to the Golden Era of Hip Hop. At a young age, his love for instrumentals and next level lyricism flourished. He used to watch his father “transform” when he sat down in front of his piano, becoming his truest self while indulging in the music. Through Hip Hop he found his voice and a way to express what he saw around him and his inner thoughts. Over the years he kept evolving and exploring new sounds, genres and even mediums of art; including photography, videography, screen printing and digital art to name a few.

He is the founder of INSOMNIACTIVE STUDIOS as well as Vice President of The Tortured Soul Movement. TTSM is a collective of artists and musicians whose goal is to uplift the culture through their profound lyrics and the community through creating opportunities within it for the youth.
