Don't miss out on previous newsletters

When you feel more regulated, empowered and connected, your child or teen does too.

The hard truth is:

Parenting a neurodivergent child (at any age) isn’t like parenting a neurotypical one.

No therapy plan could have prepared you for this.

You’ve followed the protocols.

You’ve tried the behavior charts.

You’ve read every parenting book your nightstand can handle.

And yet...

  • You’re still stuck in daily power struggles.

  • You feel guilty after yelling or shutting down.

  • Your other kids don't get enough of your attention.

  • And most days, you’re running on empty.

So, at some point you begin to ask yourself:

"We're doing so much therapy and interventions, so how are we still struggling? What am I missing?"

And that’s exactly why I created the “Empowered, Not Perfect” newsletter.

A free weekly email designed for parents raising kids (of all ages) with ADHD and Autism.

Whether your child is quiet and anxious or unafraid of showing you their emotions, each email shares fresh perspectives to help you better understand what's at the root of your ADHD/Autistic child's behavior and find a starting point when you’re feeling stuck.

So:

When your child’s not listening again

→ You learn how to get through without a fight.

When you feel guilty after losing it

→ You learn to regulate yourself so you can model calm.

When your life is therapy-on-repeat

→ You make space to breathe and reset your home.

When your house feels like a warzone

→ You bring back peace and connection between you and your partner (and nip any drifting apart in the bud).

When your other kids are slipping through the cracks

→ You rebalance your energy and attention.

When you think, “I can’t keep doing this”

→ You get emotional support to keep showing up.

When you feel like you’re failing

→ You get one small win that helps you stop blaming yourself.

Stop blaming yourself. Start feeling like you’ve got this, even on the hard days...

What current subscribers are saying:

"I am LOVING this newsletter! You’re definitely on to something with this.  I think you might be able to charge a subscription-based fee for this combined with some group coaching down the line. There are so many parents who would benefit."

- S

"I absolutely LOVE reading your newsletter and this one arrives at the perfect time because I’ve been having a lot of the “pushing/boundary and sensory seeking” lately and, with extended family around us that holds rather old fashioned views, it’s really hard for me to parent right now."

- P.T.

"This newsletter rocks. I read it and learn and I am far past raising children stage, but use some of this with my granddaughter for sure"

- Jacob R.

Why I created this newsletter...

I’ve spent over 30 years supporting families—first as an Occupational Therapist and now as a parent coach. In that time, I’ve worked with hundreds of parents raising ADHD/Autistic children, and I’ve seen how powerful it can be when families find the right tools for regulation.

In this newsletter, I share reflections, fresh perspectives, and real-life situations that help you see what might really be going on beneath your child’s behavior. Sometimes it’s about offering a new starting point when you’re stuck. Other times, it’s about confirming that you’re on the right track—even if everyone else makes you feel like you’re not.

I also bring my own lived experience of neurodivergence and growing up in a neurodiverse family. This isn’t just professional for me but also deeply personal.

Everything I share here is rooted in a neuro-affirming, family-centered, and relationship-based approach because I believe real growth happens when parents feel steady, children feel understood, and families move forward together.
