I hear you! As a busy professional a photo shoot is likely the last thing on your mind. And that's where Express Headshot sessions come in. A maximum of 15 minutes is all we need to create dynamic portraits that you can use to refresh your online presence.

I use two different set-ups - one natural light and one with studio flash. Don't know how to pose? I got you! I will guide you through the shoot with a series of standing and seated poses to boost your confidence in front of the camera (and give you a variety of options to choose from).

I am a portrait and wedding photographer with more than 15 years experience, currently based in Johannesburg.

In 2005 I graduated from Rhodes University with a degree in Fine Art and my practical major in Photography. It's no surprise that I'm inspired by history, the Classics and art. I'm also fuelled by Lindt chocolate, and strong, sweet Rooibos tea.

FAQs

How many images will I receive?

After the shoot, you will receive a link to an online gallery with ±15-20 images. You can select your favourite 5 images, and download these straight away.

How soon do I get my images?

You will receive your online gallery link 7 days after the shoot. Your favourite 5 images can be downloaded immediately.

I love my photos - how do I order more?

Your gallery is enabled with a shopping cart function - add your additional image selections to the cart and place your order. Additional images are R250 each, and a discount is applicable should you wish to purchase the full gallery. Additional images are delivered via a download link as soon as payment has cleared.

Are my purchased images watermarked?

No, only the viewing gallery is watermarked. When you download your chosen images, they will be watermark-free.

What size, resolution and format images will I receive?

Your images will be supplied as 300dpi .jpg (jpeg) files at 6000px on the long side.

How long does my gallery link stay active for?

Your gallery link is active for 6 months from the date of the shoot. Please ensure you download/order your images during this time period. I recommend saving your images to a cloud storage platform as a backup.

What kind of editing do you do on the images?

Typical headshots editing includes cropping, colour correction and the removal of non-permanent blemishes e.g. pimples. Braces and tattoos are NOT removed in retouching. Any advanced editing e.g. liquify and warp and softening of wrinkles is subject to an additional fee.

Do you provide make-up services?

Yes, I have a preferred make-up artist that I can recommend for your shoot should this be required. 

Where is your studio?

I use a shared space in Parktown North in Johannesburg. Availability of the studio is dependent on the other bookings they may have on the day. Your booking slot however is private and is not shared with another client.

What happens if I run late?

Unfortunately as there will likely be another shoot directly after yours, you will only have the time remaining in your slot in which to shoot.  Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before your time so that you don't miss out on your booking. The full cancellation policy will be sent to you in your booking contract alongside your invoice - please take the time to read these documents carefully.
