The Lofty Pines Series

The Lofty Pines series explores the nature of movement at different speeds. The speed of the sky is contrasted with the slow, steady growth of the trees, earth and wind, how they affect each other and depend on each other.

I started with my First painting, it was a long skinny artwork that was the side of one tree with the mountains muted in the distance. I had so much fun I wanted to paint a forrest of Lofty Pines, and that is what I did. In reality, I'm not sure I'm finished yet!

Anyway, the rest in the series look fabulous as a set or a stand alone.

Lofty Pines 2

Lofty Pines 2 is the largest of the artworks and forms a nice anchor to the pieces as a whole. I first painted the art and then cut it up, and then reformed them into four panels to give depth. This piece has four panels.

Lofty Pines 3

Lofty Pines Three is probably my favorite! It was in the Art about Agriculture Art Tour in 2023 which was very exciting to be a part of. This piece is made of three panels.

Lofty Pines 4 and 5

Lofty Pines Four and Five are smaller artworks, for those who want something smaller for various reasons. Both are 20x16" and explore different times in the Pine's life cycle. Both have four panels.

Lofty Pines 6

Lofty Pines Six is the sunset painting! My favorite thing about the sky are sunsets, and where I live you can't beat them! I had to paint this one, too! Lofty Six is three panels.

Here are some fun mock-ups and close-ups to show off the paintings, both together and alone.  Enjoy, and please reach out if you have any questions!
