As you feel and develop the connection between your fingers, strings and the notes, you go from feeling unsure about learning new pieces to feeling confident in your ability to read music and play the harp at the same time!
Before I tell you all about this unique program, let’s talk about who is this really for…

• A beginner with no previous musical experience, you’re right at the start of your journey with the harp want to know how to avoid falling into the most common traps so that you can learn to play faster!
• A harp learner who’s been practising reading music and playing for a while now, but it seems that after initial progress you lost your momentum… and you want to put things back in motion!
You’re in the right place!
... and I’m going to tell you exactly how this Course will give you the practical tools and unparalleled support on your journey to reading music and playing the harp with confidence and freedom!
• Read music in both treble and bass clef at the same time
• Know the notes and relate them to the actual string
• Be familiar with the geography of your harp and where each octave is in relation to the notes

• Play in time and be able to work out even complex rhythms on your own
• Have a strategy for learning new pieces
Loving every minute!
Gotta say, I do so love the tone Zuzanna takes in talking us through all of this. Her wonderful smile and comfort in teaching us comes through beautifully, and convey so much strength and support.
It feels terrific to get to work with every bit she conveys in these videos (seriously!) The pace of moving through things also feels very very good (challenging, but still good!) Very anxious to get my harp going again and me too. Thanks so much!

A few words from my amazing students…
I decided to take Zuzanna’s Reading Music for Harp as a last ditch effort. I had been struggling to learn the bass clef with my new harp and nothing was working. I kept buying new music and just found I could not read my way through it!
This course can be done at your own pace, which I loved. The accompanying videos are fantastic. Slowly, slowly it all starts to come together. A full two months after finishing the course, something clicked for me. The patterns started to pop out and that left hand started making sense!
Thank you Zuzanna for sharing your harp know-how!

I knew that there were different skills that I needed to learn: knowing the notes, relating them to the strings, playing early, counting the rhythm. I hoped that I would get some of or all under my belt, and be able to use them individually - and maybe (just maybe!) be able to combine some of them at the same time.
And I have been able to do this, a lot more often that I could before! In addition I particularly like how I now have a tool box for working out the notes, and I am so grateful for that.
Very, very happy!

I wanted to understand how to read music and play at the same time. The way it was presented really helped to connect the page to the strings for me. The exercises were very helpful in working with two hands together, and the moving music got me familiar with looking ahead to see what is coming. The speed of the movement allowed me to still think, yet work to improve my recognition speed by doing this. I feel more comfortable now using two hands as soon as possible.
I have made it a point to look for patterns in my songs before putting fingers to harp at the beginning of my practices, and I feel I am progressing faster than I have before. This last module was by far my most favorite. I am really looking forward to the next few months of my practice with having more confidence in my ability to learn and grow musically by using the skills taught here.
Thank you for the opportunity to take part in this wonderful learning experience!

I was hoping to get comfortable with reading sheet music in this course, and to have a motivational tool to help me in the process: it was a success for both! After the second week I could name the notes we had worked on with little hesitation.
I felt connected and motivated, I could do the exercises in my spare time without feeling alone (as we were all progressing together and could ask questions); the small, frequent videos with exercises worked extremely well for concept assimilation for me.

FAQ’s your fellow students asked before getting the course
What level is this for?
This course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn to read harp music, including complete beginners. You can start learning from the day your harp is delivered!
If you play by ear or learn through videos and now want to learn to read music, this course will be a perfect choice.
Many of our students had experience with other instruments reading only 1 line of music (violin, cello, trumpet) and they confirm this course helped them to get fluent in reading 2 lines and clefs!
Do I need a harp or can I take the course before I get one?
The course is highly practical and from Day 1 you learn to make the connections between the notes and the strings while playing your harp.
If you haven't got a harp yet, consider hiring an instrument before taking the course so you can make the most of it!
I've only got a small-size non-lever harp, will this work for everything I will need to play during the course?
You will need 7 strings below your middle C (reaching to low C) and 7 strings above (reaching to high C).
You will need to be able to play in the key of C major, so non-lever harp is fine as long as you're happy to tune it to the key of C major (and I will show you how to do this in the course!).
How is Reading Music different from other music theory resources?
Reading Music for Harp is not like any music theory books or websites you have come across... because it's all about putting things in PRACTICE.
Every week you will receive a set of carefully curated, practical exercises designed specifically for harp (no more confusing tips that are only relevant to other instruments!).
The method used in this course has been designed through my experience of teaching harpists how to read music in a 1-1 setting and you will find it a lot more similar to a harp lesson rather than a dry exercise from a music theory book or app.
We connect learning and playing, and you are guaranteed to learn exactly what you need to PLAY the harp (hands together from day 1)!
Why this program costs more than other online harp courses?
In this course you learn skills that will give you freedom to read music and to access a whole world of harp resources on your own.
You won't need a teacher to play for you or show you which strings to pluck, as you will have the confidence to work out the notes and rhythms by yourself. You will have in place proven strategies for learning a new piece and will not need to depend on step-by-step instructions.
To put it differently: instead of being given a fish, you will learn HOW to fish... and the skills you'll gain will allow you to learn more pieces (and more new skills!) through any other resources you will find!
I'm already taking 1-1 lessons, do I need the course?
The course is designed to work both alongside any existing training that you're already taking as well as for self-taught harpists.
In the course you work on universal skills that will serve you for a lifetime of harp playing. Learning them will help you progress more quickly and make the most of 1-1 lessons or any other training that you're working through at the moment.
The exercises in Reading Music for Harp are unique to this course and you won't get them anywhere else - so no risk you end up working on the same material for the second time elsewhere!
How much time do I need?
The course is designed to be taken over 4 weeks, with each of 4 Modules becoming available at the beginning of each week.
Each Module consists of 4-5 videos lessons. You will get best results if you set aside some time to practice every day, and you will need about 20-30 minutes a day to work your way through all the lessons in a given week.
However you can make progress even with as little as 10 minutes a day in which case you will probably spend a little longer than a week per Module. Once released, all Modules are available to watch for a full year, so you can learn at a pace that works best for you.
Are the lessons live or prerecorded?
The lessons are prerecorded so you can start learning anytime, regardless of your time zone or schedule.
The learning content is organised into 4 Modules across 4 weeks, with Modules released weekly, so you can gradually build foundations and feel at ease with the basics before progressing to more advanced skills.
Is there a time limit for completing the lessons?
You get access to the course videos for a full year (365 days from the date Module 4 is released).
All the additional materials (checklists, transcripts, scores for the exercises) are downloadable so you can keep using them for as long as you like!
Are you still thinking about it?
I personally cannot wait to guide you through the next 4 weeks.
Being able to read the music opens so many doors to play with more confidence and picking new pieces with real freedom.
Should you choose to accept my invitation, I promise that the next 4 weeks will truly transform your playing and give you the spark that you need to keep going on your journey with the harp.
I look forward to meeting you personally inside Reading Music for Harp.
