To put this into perspective, we are heading into comparable size of some of the smaller countries such as Montserrat, Anguilla and Guernsey in the UK. For more recognisable names, that’s almost twice the size of Bermuda!
Aside from data rolling up a big number, it is also showing us that the humble evacuation sign has opened the door to something completely different and far more useful for building managers, facility managers and above all emergency services.
Since its launch through the fire industry in 2019, PlanStudio has helped to capture critical building information more easily for certifiers in Australia and indeed all over the globe.
It is through these users that the data has grown so quickly and easily – with an average edit time of just 9.8 minutes per plan, PlanStudio is faster (7 x), easier, and more accurate way of creating and editing floor plans thanks to its mobile capability.

What's new with PlanStudio, PlanSafe and your APIs
PlanStudio
USER GROUPS
Coming soon to PlanStudio - User Groups.
This development will allow you to create different groups of users within your partnership and give those groups different levels of access to your plans and managed at a campus level.
If you’ve ever wanted to give contractors access to specific campuses without letting them see everything in your portfolio, that’s about to become possible in April.
It’ll also be possible to combine this with our existing role and auto-expiry systems.
This will allow you to give contractors access to specific campuses, making sure they have read-only access, and their access is automatically revoked once your project is completed.
API's
LOOKING FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS?
For those seeking something more bespoke requiring more than providing users access to PlanStudio, our API's afford software developers the opportunity to create rich, interactive user experiences which allow floor plans to be tightly integrated into existing applications.
We “eat our own dogfood” at Locatrix, so the exact same APIs that National Storage are using for wayfinding are also powering our interactive floor plan viewer in PlanSafe.

FOR THOSE OF US WHO DON'T KNOW OUR HTML FROM OUR EMAIL
And if you’re not a software developer, we’ve taken those same APIs and used them to create a “batteries-included” Plan Viewer that can be quickly customised to suit your needs and then deployed without any software experience.

- Generate a link or QR code that will take someone directly to an interactive viewer for that plan.
- Without any need to install apps or software.
