If you’re homeschooling or unschooling and trying to build days that feel calmer, more connected, and more inspired, welcome.

Inspiration Is Here is a weekly email filled with ideas we actually use in our home. Each week I share a small collection of thoughtful prompts and activities you can use in your own way, or draw from when you need them.

Something to take the pressure off.

Hello!

I’m Sara. I’ve been unschooling my four daughters, now aged 10 to 16, since they were little.

Over the years, I’ve learned that what matters most isn’t doing more, but creating the conditions where curiosity, confidence, and connection can grow. Our days aren’t perfect or polished, but they’re full of freedom, respect, and plenty of room to explore interests deeply.

Unschooling doesn’t mean stepping back completely. It's a partnership. My role is to notice patterns, suggest ideas, bring in new possibilities, and help shape rhythms that support everyone in our home.

Inspiration Is Here is simply an extension of that. It’s where I share the ideas, prompts, and practices we find useful, so you don’t have to come up with everything on your own.

If you’re looking for thoughtful support that feels realistic, grounded, and lived-in, you’re in the right place.

Introducing...

'Inspiration Is Here!'

Inspiration Is Here is a weekly email subscription where I share the homeschooling ideas we’re using in our own home.

Woven through the weekly ideas, you’ll also see the rhythms and practices that shape our unschooling life.

Each week you’ll receive one email with three ideas you can offer your children in the coming days. You might use them straight away, or save them for later.

The ideas are varied and thoughtful, and are designed to support real learning without pressure. They’re not a plan to follow or a checklist to complete. They’re simply there to give you options, and help you feel prepared.

Life is busy, and it’s hard to always be the one coming up with ideas. Inspiration Is Here exists to support you in that role, and to take some of the pressure off.

I see my role as offering possibilities. Your child’s role is to decide which ones light them up.

What does the subscription include?

Weekly emails

You’ll receive one email each week with three ideas you can offer your children in the coming days. They’re sent on Fridays, giving you time to look ahead and decide what you want to use.

There’s no expectation to do everything. The emails are there to support you, not add another task to your list.

Variety of ideas

The ideas shared are varied and intentionally chosen to reflect real learning. Some weeks lean creative, others practical or reflective.

Across the year you’ll see ideas connected to writing, art, life skills, science, maths, history, and everyday experiences, along with light, playful moments and fun celebrations.

Multiple Ages

The ideas are designed to work across a range of ages, generally from around 8 and up, with natural flexibility built in.

I’m using these ideas with my own children, including teens, so you’ll often see simple starting points with room to take things further depending on age, or if interest grows.

The kind of ideas you’ll see...

Below are a few examples of the types of ideas shared inside Inspiration Is Here.

BONUS

A shared family project to begin with.

When you join, you’ll also get immediate access to our 4-Week Family Canvas activity.

This is a slow, collaborative art project we’ve done in our own home. Each week you’ll add a new layer (paint, texture, words, collage) and by the end, you’ll have something meaningful you’ve made together.

It’s included as a thank-you for joining, and as a connecting way to begin. Something to ease you into the rhythm while you wait for your first weekly email.

Inspiration Is Here is for families who want learning to feel like part of life, not something they have to manage or keep up with.

Still got questions?

I've got you covered.

Yes. Inspiration Is Here is designed to be flexible and adaptable.

While it’s grounded in an unschooling, interest-led approach, the ideas can be used by families across a wide range of homeschooling styles. Nothing is prescriptive. You’re free to use what fits, skip what doesn’t, and adapt ideas to suit your family. Personally, I suggest using them as a kind of 'strewing' and offering the activities as options for your children to use if they like.

Yes! Subscriptions are paid monthly and you can cancel whenever you like.

Most activities are designed to use common household items. If any special materials are needed, I’ll let you know in advance so you can prepare.

No. This isn’t a curriculum or a program to follow.

Inspiration Is Here offers ideas and invitations, not a sequence or checklist. It’s designed to support learning as it naturally unfolds, not to dictate what your child “should” be doing.

That’s entirely up to you and your child.

Some ideas might spark a quick conversation or short activity. Others may turn into longer projects or rabbit trails. There’s no expected time commitment and no pressure to finish anything.

You’re welcome to share the ideas informally with friends, or use them as inspiration in your own group.

However, the written content itself is for personal use only and shouldn’t be copied, forwarded, or redistributed. If others are interested, I’d love for them to join too.

Yes, many activities will include printable resources and/or relevant resource recommendations for you.

While some activities may suggest online resources for further info, the majority focus on hands-on, offline learning experiences.
