Calling all callers for the dance census!

We are conducting a census to find out more about social folk dance callers in the 21st century. If you have ever called for one of the following styles, even if it was only once, and call for dances in England or Wales we would like to hear from you:

  • American contra dance

  • Barn dance

  • Cornish troyl

  • English ceilidh

  • English country dance/ Playford

  • Irish céilí

  • Scottish ceilidh/ cèilidh

  • Square dancing

  • Welsh twmpath

Whether you’re a seasoned expert, or just call occasionally for fun, we want to hear from you! Please register your interest in the Dance Census using the form below.
