Why now?
Like many senior leaders, you may be thinking about a career change. You may have had a challenging few years, leading your organisation and teams through a bumpy period of change. You may be at a stage in your life, where you sense that there is something else you want to do beyond your current role and before you hit retirement. But you don’t really know where to start and are not sure how you can make a change into a different type of role or sector.
You are not alone! Many leading thinkers such as Lynda Gratton and Andrew Scott in their helpful book 100 year life reflect that we are a generation that will likely live a much longer life than our parents and grandparents. A longer life, combined with rapidly changing technologies and a changing sense of what we want from both our work and our lives, means that many of us are reshaping our careers every ten years so that we remain engaged and energised by our work, whilst also having space to follow all the passions and interests we want to develop and nurture as we age.

What is the Career Group Transitions programme?
The programme includes six online sessions over three months, covering everything you need to equip you with the skills and confidence to make your transition, surrounded by peers facing similar experiences. You will also benefit from one 1-2-1 coaching session with Ciara – either before or after the programme, depending on your needs.
Each group will have 8-10 people – just the right size to feel safe and comfortable, whilst also getting a wide range of perspectives, insights and ideas.
You will have access to a range of carefully curated resources and tools that complement the online coaching sessions.
Who is your group coach?
Ciara Eastell OBE is your coach. She works with CEOs and senior leaders who find themselves at a crossroads in their careers and need a confidential sounding board to explore what’s next. Having successfully navigated a major career transition over the past six years, Ciara understands the highs, lows, and unique challenges of making a major career shift.
Ciara was Chief Executive of Libraries Unlimited, a role which was the culmination of a 25-year career leading library services across the UK. In 2019, she made a bold move, leaving her role to establish her second career, combining her own consultancy and coaching business with her role as Professor of Practice (now Honorary Professor) at the University of Exeter Business School.
Ciara is a qualified and experienced executive, team coach and action learning set facilitator, who has supported over 200 CEOs and senior leaders in the past 5 years. She is an ICF Accredited coach and regularly undertakes supervision and CPD. She combines a warm, relatable approach with a range of carefully curated resources and tools, designed to help you manage your transition.

How much is the Career Transitions Group coaching programme?
The programme costs £840 (including VAT). Payment plans are available to spread the cost. Please contact me if you would like to discuss.

When is the next programme?
The next programme will run from the end of February 2025 through to April 2025 and comprise six online sessions lasting two hours.
