We made it to the end of another quarter, and what a few months it has been since our last update. The calendar has been jam packed with conferences here in Australia and overseas in America, England and a little surprise thrown in with a trip to Germany.
There have been some great initiatives behind the scenes at Locatrix HQ with advancements to our products and technology and as always that marvellous SQM milestone keeps ticking along.
All things worthy of celebration.

What's new with PlanSafe & PlanStudio

Thanks to the feedback of our userbase, PlanSafe received some welcome updates to improve your experience as a user of the software, including
- Map View
- Bulk Actions
- Menu Structure
- Campus Setting upgrades
PlanStudio
PlanStudio received its own update on user groups.
This update provides our customers with better insights over who can see and work on your different floor plans or projects and more importantly, put restrictions on who can access floor plans.
Most importantly we would also like to highlight to you, our partners and PlanStudio users alike, where you can easily access additional support if you should need it:

National Geospatial Conference
PlanStudio has made an impact amongst the shakers and movers of the Geospatial world in 2024
We are proud to share in the moment with Julianne Leslie, GIS Coordinator, Enterprise Information Management, Technology Command NSW Police & Chad Ajamain, Spatial Manager NSW Government at this years Locate24 - National Geospatial Conference, Excellence Awards Dinner.
A huge congratulations to you both for your perseverance and resilience as you worked with Locatrix to give this very special project wings.

April was the beginning of conference season, kicking off in England and closing successfully in Germany after a couple of stops in between. Safe to say we are truly Conference Seasoned and Travel Experienced by the end of it all.

- 3 Locatrixians demoing PlanStudio to English Fire Risk Assessors
- 3 x 6 hour days of continuous demos by Jayden, Jamie & Andreas
- Almost 11,000 attendees
What a busy few days the trio had at the show in Birmingham, but also clocked up the miles in and around London meeting with Partners and then onto a Side Quest to Berlin... Making the most of being in Europe and all it has to offer.

NFPA 3 day conference stats incoming:
- 1 demo performed every 8 minutes on 2 devices
- 90<100 demos in total
- 66 companies expressing an interest our software
A truly busy and insightful conference for Andreas, Scott & Jayden.
This years conference showed us that there is definitely an interest in what PlanStudio can do outside of Evacuation Diagrams and simply put there's whole load more than just a floor plan.
With Fire Departments expressing an interest in the Pre-Plan functionality as well as local governments and educational organisations looking at the possibility of introducing PlanStudio & PlanSafe to their establishments, there's a lot to anticipate now we're back home.
FeuerTrutz 2024
26th-27th June
Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, Germany
A first for Locatrix (we definitely enjoy going on an adventure), this time in Nuremberg in Germany.
Andreas was right at home. Literally. If you didn't know already Andreas is originally from Germany and moved to Australia a little over 15 years ago.
He was definitely in his element on panel shows and interviews on stage and he also appeared in the local newspaper. We like to think the headlines said "The Prodigal Son Has Returned", but as we're not fluent in German yet, we'll have to take Andreas' word for it.
This was a truly surprising and insightful trip to FeuerTrutz:
- Over 6300 attendees
- Partners signed up there and then in the conference
- Locatrix introduced to a market similar to the Australian fire safety industry, proving the need for PlanStudio in particular.
We very much welcome our new German partners and look forward to seeing what else you can do with PlanStudio.

The Smith Family - Work Inspiration
In May Locatrix teamed up with The Smith Family for an initiative called Work Inspiration.
With the disruption of COVID, numerous schools have struggled to reintroduce work experience programs. Recognising this shortfall the Smith Family asked if Locatrix could conduct a morning tea and education session to bridge the gap with a local high school.
Many of the children are from underprivileged backgrounds with limited access and experience to learn what it would be like to work in the Technology Industry.
This is where Kris Brown, Rhys Collyer and Helen Hall shared their stories with the different experiences and routes they each took to find themselves in the career they have today with Locatrix.
Each Locatrixian generously shared their story and real life work experiences (the good and the bad) with the teenagers. The hope is to open eyes and minds to the possibilities outside of their own experience. No matter where you start in life you are just as able as anyone to achieve what you set your sights upon.

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea
Australia's Biggest Morning ea was marked with a gathering at our Head Office.
Between us we raised $1264 for the Australian Cancer Council.
This was a great opportunity for us an organisation to gather together, enjoy some food and good company while supporting a very worthy cause.
