Hey, I'm Jared

I have been providing mental health counseling services in Bryan/College Station since 2017. My journey into the counseling profession was far from direct, but I believe the diversity of work and life experience I bring into my current work provides the perspective necessary to connect with my clients. I have a BBA in Management from Texas A&M (class of '03) and MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. My wife and I have lived in Bryan-College Station for over 20 years and we have three children. I love outdoor adventures, cool weather (not sure how I landed on living in BCS!), coaching youth sports and running marathons.

Men often face unique challenges that can affect their mental health and overall well-being. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, sexual or relational difficulties, or navigating major life transitions, counseling can be a valuable step toward clarity and growth. Societal expectations and cultural pressures can make it harder for men to reach out for support—but you don’t have to carry everything alone. My goal is to offer a non-judgmental, supportive space where you can talk freely about what’s on your mind. Together, we’ll explore practical strategies and emotional tools to help you manage stress, strengthen relationships, and build a life that feels more fulfilling.

Relationships are one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives, but they can also be one of our greatest challenges. We often find ourselves confused when the passionate love we experience early on in the relationship seems to not be enough and find ourselves experiencing disconnection, conflict and "growing apart." My hope is to support couples who desire to improve their connection, intimacy, communication and overall relationship quality utilizing training in the Gottman Method, a world-renowned couples therapy methodology.

The Psalms offer a beautifully poetic insight into the human experience - encompassing joy, pain, celebration, and sorrow. What resonates with me about the Psalms is the raw honesty and vulnerability the Psalmists display in their writing. They openly share their experiences while acknowledging that God hears them and is present in both their pain and joy. I extend this invitation to my Christian clients—to embrace openness and vulnerability, allowing themselves to be truly seen and known, enabling God to meet them in their circumstances. This journey varies for each individual, and my approach combines biblical principles with effective psychological interventions. With that said, I welcome individuals and couples from all faiths and backgrounds treating everyone with respect, dignity, and honor.

As a business owner and mental health professional, I offer a distinct viewpoint on the connection between mental health, personal wellness, and the challenges of high-pressure work environments. The stresses associated with running a business or working in a demanding field are frequently underestimated because of the perceived advantages roles bring. My aim is to provide both a tangible and intangible break from the relentless pursuit of ambitious goals and ongoing challenges, allowing space for personal and professional alignment—reminding us to prioritize our well-being in the quest for success.
