A mini-mystery, if you will! In the fictional town of Serendipity Springs, Illinois, Emma and Petunia, her Boston Terrier, start on their walk. And Petunia finds a ball in the bushes! Whose ball is it? Will Petunia find the ball's owner? Will she keep it?
This story precedes the events of Accounting for Arson and you'll meet some of the characters that are front in center in the novel.
