Making in the fog. Let your tired be enough.

with Jasmin Matzakow

For creatives who are exhausted and still showing up at the desk, the studio, the page.

Even when the creativity itself is tired.

A 2,5-hour online workshop for tired creatives who want to make things, even now, even like this.

We don't fix the tiredness.

We map it together, and find out what's actually there.

So you can go from...

...waiting until you feel better before you start making things exactly where you are, tired and all.

...experiencing your creativity through a layer of fog, disconnected and far away to finding out what's actually there when you stop avoiding the tiredness.

...lying awake judging yourself for not doing enough to trusting that your tired body has its own wisdom, and its own way of making.

...making alone in the exhaustion to being in a room full of tired, inspired people and finding out what becomes possible there.

Imagine...

...you wake up tired, and you know: this is enough to be curious with.

...you are in relationship with your tiredness. You've started to know its moods, its texture, its edges, what it needs, what it offers.

...you make things that could only come from this place, slow, soft, slightly weird. Things that wouldn't exist if you'd waited to feel better.

...you are making in conversation with your exhaustion, and with others who know this place too.

Why now is the time?

Creativity has never waited for good conditions. Frida Kahlo painted from a hospital bed. Octavia Butler wrote through poverty and years of menial jobs, and said: "I began writing about power because I had so little."

We are in a political moment that is exhausting by design. Productivity is demanded. Linear output is rewarded. Slow, non-linear, body-based creativity is not valued by the systems we live in.

And that is exactly why it matters.

Making in the fog is not a compromise. It is the work.

What we do together

Meet your tiredness

We start with the body. Where does the tiredness live? What is its texture, its weight? Most of us have never actually looked at it. We do that here, together, without trying to fix it.

Rest

Not as a reward. Not as a bridge to productivity. A real pause, body-based and short. You learn the difference between physical and emotional tiredness, the same way there is a difference between physical and emotional hunger.

Make

A hypnotic journey into the landscape of your exhaustion. You find out what your tiredness has been holding for you, and what becomes possible when you stop fighting it.

Connect

You are not tired alone. We share after every block. Being exhausted and connecting anyway is a different state than being exhausted alone. That difference is meaningful.

A note on hypnosis

Hypnosis has a reputation problem. You might think of stage shows, swinging watches, people clucking like chickens.

What I use is different. It's a science-based practice that works with neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to rewire itself and form new neural pathways, make new connections. In a hypnotic state, the brain becomes more receptive to new patterns. The inner critic quiets down and what felt stuck starts to move.

Your unconscious mind makes up around 95% of your mental activity. It's running your responses, your habits, and your relationship to tiredness, mostly without your knowledge. It's a mystery, and it's a power source – one that most of us never deliberately tap into.

In this workshop, we use a short hypnotic journey to change your relationship to tiredness. To rewire how you respond to it, and get some insight from the part of your mind that's been driving the show all along.

You stay fully conscious. Nothing happens without your consent. I'm a hypnotist, not a magician. You might feel deeply relaxed, or slightly elsewhere. Both are fine.
