“There is a wild woman under our skin who wants nothing more than to dance until her feet are sore, sing her beautiful grief into the rafters, and offer the bottomless cup of her creativity as a way of life. And if you are able to sing from the very wound that you’ve worked so hard to hide, not only will it give meaning to your own story, but it becomes a corroborative voice for others with a similar wounding.”Toko-pa Turner, Belonging: Remembering Ourselves home

SHE is here.

SHE has been gestating within my womb for a while.

Actually I believe SHE is the culmination of my last 7 years that I spent in the dark.

MUSE OF ISIS

- a temple for women -

Goddess knows I never though I'd start hosting temples.

To be honest with you for years I was quite sick of the word temple.

To me it was claimed by the neo-tantric scene and distorted into something far away from its origins.

And in the midst of my aversion towards temple spaces I realized:

I can claim the word temple for myself.

I can claim what I believe to be the true meaning of it.

It's as simple as it being a place of worship.

A place to commune with the divine.

What makes a temple a temple (for me anyways) is that it's a liminal space out of time where body and spirit meet.

Where transcendence and imminence become ONE.

Where eros is embodied and trance like states are experienced.

But not by fleeing this humanly experience, but by fully tasting, smelling, feeling and touching it.

And while sexual/tantric interactions can be a part of that its not what makes a temple a temple.

A temple in its original sense is a place where one can heal, rest, nourish, bask, dance, adore, worship and commune.

With ones own body, with other bodies, with the body of Earth, with spirit, with the divine, with ones own human, aching, pulsating, ecstatic heart.

And so I invite you to this feast of the senses.

In touch based sisterhood.

When have we forgotten to comb and braid each others hair?

When have we forgotten that god and the goddess live right here in our flesh?

When have we forgotten that when women gather magic is birthed?

When have we forgotten that beauty and creativity are the original medicines to our aches?

When have we forgotten to collectively invoke the sacred feminine into our midst?

When have we forgotten how to pray, not with our words and minds but with our bodies?

When have we forgotten that we need nothing but to dance wildly, sing and create original beauty together with other women?

When have we forgotten that this is how we recharge, replenish and thrive?

When have we forgotten that in order to give and care we need to receive and be cared for?

Who is this event for?

This temple is for the woman who feels the quiet ache in her body, the insatiable longing in her soul and the desire to remember what she already knows deep down.
It’s for the woman who craves connection beyond small talk — who yearns to touch and be touched in reverence, to dance in her fullness, to be witnessed in both her softness and her power.
It’s for the woman who wants to reclaim the sacred in everyday life, to rediscover original beauty as medicine and to gather with sisters in the ancient ways of prayer, song and body/divine worship.
It’s for the woman who is tired of carrying it all alone — who knows that to care deeply for others, she must also receive, replenish and rest.
It’s for the woman who remembers (or wants to remember) that spirit is not somewhere far away, but right here in her breath, her heartbeat, her flesh and her eros.

It’s for you if you:

- are in need of more oxytocin and deep nervous system nourishment

- long for sisterhood, platonic touch and authentic connection

- wish for a space to finally lay down your armor and commune with the divine

- want to experience ancient prayer, dance and worship of that something bigger, but through the body — not just the mind

- feel called to rest, receive and be replenished

- crave beauty, creativity and ritual as sources of healing

- are curious to explore the sacred feminine in a ritualistic and safe(r) space

This is a temple for women ready to remember their own innate divinity, together.

I'd love to have you there.

With love,

Marina
