Beyond quiet rooms, beyond burnout, beyond hiding your discomfort to fit in.
The Neurocurrent: Where lived experience, science, and creativity flow together.
There is a common misconception that only neurodivergent people are sensitive to things like sound, light, or smells.
The reality is that sensory issues are experienced by everyone.
Being hungry, upset, anxious, tired, hungover, or sick can all contribute. Every single person reading this has been at least one of those things at some point.
I've been studying this and the truth is that individuals are not the problem - the system is.
Events, workplaces, classrooms, clinics, and more.
Any space can be overstimulating. But they don't have to be.
I developed the SOLACE Model (TM) because there wasn't an existing cross-sector, cross-sense model for making spaces more comfortable.
Traditional 'accessibility' is about ensuring removal of physical barriers from spaces, but sensory accessibility is a still-emerging field.
Humans exist in every space, comfort can exist for every sense.
SOLACE calibrates for comfort so all humans can focus, connect, and have better experiences.
