The Misadventures of Prince Rugen
Kaytlin Phillips

"You know, the one thing I have learned from this misadventure of mine is that the Creator has a way of letting us think we know what’s best when in reality, He was watching over us the whole time, laughing at our foolishness and planning for the day when we would realize it His plan all along."

When Prince Rugen runs away from his family castle after being arranged in a marriage he has no wish to come true, he stumbles across a woodland that is guarded fiercely by a spitfire of a gal named Naimah. She insists that this part of the wood is 'hers' while she tends to a dozen wild kids and teens that surely aren't hers.
In this comedic story Prince Rugen learns the true meaning of loyalty and striving for His Kingdom.

at the edge of the forest
Lorelei Angelino

"The rain makes a pattering sound
as it falls on the leaves.

A breeze comes by,
chilling my skin, which is
wet with rain.

I want to be by a fireside,
warm with joy and contentment."

In this beautiful poem, we explore  two different perspectives--a sister and brother--and how both of them see and experience the same woodsy scene. Written to encourage others to try seeing things from a different perspective, because it might just be a blessing in disguise.
