"The children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them" (Exodus 2:23-25 NKJV).

The 2025 General Conference Session of Seventh-day Adventists has opened in the city of St. Louis, Missouri. Convened every five years, this global gathering brings together thousands of delegates, church leaders, and members to worship, elect leadership, vote on policy, and seek God’s guidance for the Church’s future. Our own Dr. Carlton P. Byrd is a delegate to the General Conference Session and is serving on the Nominating Committee. Let’s pray for God’s blessing on our world church leadership as we seek to move forward in mission.
