What is Reactivity?

Reactivity in dogs refers to their tendency to overreact to certain stimuli in their environment, such as other dogs, people, or unfamiliar situations. This can manifest in behaviors like barking, lunging, or even growling when they encounter something that triggers them.

Reactivity can stem from fear, anxiety, past negative experiences, medical issues, excitement and frustration. It's important for dog owners to understand their dog's triggers and work on positive training techniques to help them feel more comfortable and confident in various situations.
