My journey into wellness didn't start in a gym or a classroom. It started in survival mode. And what I learned changed everything, not just for me, but for the hundreds of women I've supported since.

I want to be honest with you, because I think you deserve that from the person you're trusting with your health.

I spent 19 years in a marriage that slowly took pieces of me. There was manipulation, and on some occasions, physical abuse. But if you had seen me on most days, you would have never known.

I showed up. For my five children. For everyone around me. With a smile on my face that most people couldn't understand if they knew what was really happening behind closed doors.

I remember sitting in my living room one day and asking myself quietly, "is this my life?"

I was deeply unhappy. But I kept going. My faith kept a joy in me that made no earthly sense. My kids kept me anchored. And somewhere deep inside, I knew this wasn't the end of my story.

So I started walking.

Not for weight loss. Not for a fitness goal. I walked because it was the one place that felt peaceful. It was where I could breathe, think, and slowly find my way back to myself. For about 90 days, that daily walk was my sanctuary.

And then something unexpected happened, I lost nearly 20 pounds without trying. Without a diet plan. Without forcing anything. I believe it was the stress beginning to release from my body. Combined with daily movement, my body just... began to respond.

But more than the weight, I found clarity. Those walks gave me the space to make one of the hardest decisions of my life. And when my separation became official and he left the house in October 2020, I was ready.

That's when I truly understood what root cause wellness means.

It's not about doing more. It's about understanding what your body has been holding, and finally giving it permission to heal.

This passion didn't start with a training program. It started much earlier, with my grandfather.

He used to tell me growing up: "You have to exercise your mind and move your body every day." And he lived it, he walked every single day. He planted a seed in me when I was very young, and it never left.

In April 2020, I officially stepped into the wellness space, joining a wellness company that became my launching pad. My hunger to understand the body went far beyond the classroom.

I completed an NBC-HWC aligned Health & Wellness Coach training program, earned my Weight Loss Specialist Certification through NASM, and I'm currently completing my Integrative Health & Functional Medicine Coaching Certification. I never stop learning, because the women I work with deserve a coach who is always growing.

And within weeks of him leaving, something unexpected happened, I launched my own coaching business.

I remember feeling like I could finally breathe. Like I could think. Like I could create.

Looking back, that wasn't a coincidence. That was my nervous system finally having space.

And it taught me firsthand what I now help other women experience, that when the chronic stress lifts, you don't just feel better. You come alive.

In the years since, I've built my practice while partnering with functional medicine doctors, naturopaths, MDs, and nurse practitioners, supporting hundreds of women in understanding their bodies and reclaiming their health.
