Kia ora, I’m Awhina, the creator and founder of Ruplus2 — a streetwear brand born from my passion for art and my love for my three tamariki. The name comes from the first two letters of my son’s name, and plus 2 represents my two beautiful daughters.

Ruplus2 blends creativity, culture, and sustainability. In a time where being Māori is proudly rising again across Aotearoa, my mahi resonates with that movement. Each jacket I create is a canvas — expressing mana motuhake, whakapapa, and pride in who we are.

Using upcycled denim jackets as my base, I give pre-loved clothes a new home and a new voice. Let’s be real — denim never goes out of style, and we all have a jacket tucked in the wardrobe. Why not make it one that tells a story?
