Artifact of the Dawn
Taking shelter from a sudden rainstorm, Ardyn of the Athla’naa finds a strange object, inscribed with the ancient writing of his people. Except, it’s all wrong. The artifact is made of a metal he’s never seen before, not even among the metal-forging Medellans. What’s even stranger? Whenever he touches the object, the inscription glows.
In a quest to seek the truth behind this discovery, Ardyn meets Jevan, a Medellan trader. They risk both their lives and the tenuous truce between their people by venturing deep into forbidden woods, known as the Aria'una. What Jevan and Ardyn discover could change their world forever.

Jevan is haunted by the legacy of his ancestors, while Ardyn wrestles with the weight of his past and present trauma. The two ambassadors rely on their unique bond to unravel the threads of a sinister conspiracy that has been hidden for centuries.
The Society of Sevens, a xenophobic shadow organization, will stop at nothing to keep the truth hidden, even if it means causing the death of thousands of their own people. Jevan and Ardyn must race against time to expose the truth and prevent a catastrophic event that could destroy the very fabric of their society.
With the fate of their planet hanging in the balance, Jevan must help Ardyn overcome his trauma so they can work together to unravel the mystery the Sevens have been hiding. When they realize that the secrets they uncover may be more than they can handle, they find support from the friends they’ve made along the way. Writing has been a part of Grayson’s life in one form or another since childhood. Everything from academic and technical writing to blogging, and even writing fanfiction. These days he splits his time between writing queer fiction stories and writing articles about LGBTQ issues.
As an autistic, gay, transgender man, Grayson adds his personal experience to his writing, because it colors how he sees the world and because it brings much-needed representation to the genres he enjoys exploring.
Sharing his home in Colorado with his dogs, Grayson also enjoys whipping up something creative in the kitchen or escaping into the world of video games.
