What is Techno Hoyo?
Filmed by Aaron Nathanson
We, Shin Buddhists, envision Nirvana through the realm of Amida Buddha's Pure Land. Our traditional alters and the melodies of chanting (shomyo) have been descended by devoted practitioners with the best techniques back in the time. Being in the 21st century, Rev. GYOSEN Aasakura introduced the Techno Hoyo ritual with our technologies to transcend cultural and generational boundaries, and his wish for this ritual is to immerse those who join this event in the Buddha Dharma.
WHAT IS cyberNamunamu?
A creative activity born out of empathy for Techno Hoyo. As numerous sculptors and painters created traditional Buddhist art, Mr. MADOKA Kono is taking the lead in developing Buddhist expressions in digital art.
Make your Keha
In the sutra on the Buddha of Immeasurable Life, Shakyamuni said, "Devas and humans perform some good, observe precepts ... scatter flowers - sange, and burn incense. Directing the merit of these acts, they aspire to be born in that land." Hence, scattering flower petals (keha) is an act of homage.
You can create your "custom" keha for the Techno Hoyo. Your Keha will be projected during the ritual.
