this mentee was feeling stuck in a mental health rut. outside of going to work, she was struggling to show up for herself & was feeling super disconnected from what brought her joy. in working through our journaling prompts, and bringing where she was feeling stuck to our calls, she was able to identify that she was investing too much of her time, attention, and energy into her work—leaving nothing else for what she needed. Together, we worked on de-centering work in her life and giving her clarity on how else she can invest her time, attention, and energy to improve her mental health and focus on what was meaningful to her. she became armed with the mindset shifts and tools to give herself permission to detach from work, set boundaries, and put the laptop away because she now understood the investment in her wellbeing would be far greater. not only did she pull herself out of her mental rut, but her efforts helped her transform into a healthier, happier version of herself who puts her wellbeing & experiences that fill her cup first.

She realized this was not sustainable for her and we worked together to redefine what success looks and feels like for her, while clearly defining what is and is not in her locus of control so she could put healthy boundaries in place.
