Chapter 1
You are not on a hiking trail!
So why the huge backpack, the survival kit, and the time pressure?
The peaks will still be there, forests won’t run away from your steps, and valleys won’t be harder to climb out of. Your restless boots will keep the same comfort, and as much as you might encounter, any kind of terrain suits your climbing style.
There are moments of solitude that allows for more significant questions to be asked, and even bigger answers to be left uncovered. Whys and hows keep raising the pressure on your shoulders. Time starts proving what it really means to wait and make the right decisions at the right moment.
Chapter 2
And as comforting as it might sound, we are rarely used to doing that.
Walking down a hiking trail or down the street is usually a process with an end goal in which stillness doesn’t have any contribution. You have to keep walking to reach your destination. Wait for too long and suddenly the journey takes another route, not physically, but mentally.
The reality stays the same, and life keeps happening as it should, but getting accustomed to every change means you get new opportunities. One of them is to discover the beauty of stillness in a process focused only on movement.
Chapter 3
Literally, everyone knows the saying “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade”. And as much as we are capable of understanding how things work in life, it makes sense that it’s talking about making the best out of everything you got.
But what do you do when it feels like you’re not even getting the impression that you have received anything from life?
A
question I have struggled to answer for many years, despite developing a
good sense of direction based on a compass I was still working to
calibrate.
Chapter 4
Any reminder is kind enough if you can understand its value based on the time you have left to complete the reminder’s job
And for a long time, I was always guided by reminders.
Reminders that life is short and I should be enjoying it more, that I stress too much about unnecessary stuff, reminders that I dream too much and act too little, reminders that even though it doesn’t seem like it, I am doing much better than I used to believe I could.
My life has been filled with small little mistakes that led me to the higher purpose behind making them.
Chapter 5
Remember to raise your eyebrows occasionally and practice every facial expression you can make.
I’m sure almost everyone expresses that uncomfortable feeling whenever the food has a flavor that shouldn’t be there.
The go-to reaction is to, more or less, contract our facial muscles to display an honest reaction. Of course, while considering if our reaction would impact the ones who prepared it.
Chapter 6
Have you ever been in such a quiet place that you found yourself surrounded only by your thoughts?
That open space that led you to a moment of induced silence of your mind. Or maybe that cozy mysterious room inside a small museum that you always avoided exploring.
Such beautiful environments deserve quite a mental and spiritual presence whenever someone passes their space. And yet, the mere existence of such places often makes us think they are incredibly hard to find, not because of the objects and things we can find there, but because of the immediate effects that their stillness and calm have on us.
Chapter 7
I bet you had that feeling of finishing a great book.
You turn the last page and suddenly you realize there is no more of the story you have just read, but it all added up.
The last page concluded everything you have been thinking about. The plot is complete. Nothing else to add.
But if you think about it, it’s not about how good the book really was. It was all about how you perceived the story.
If it had started with a small disclaimer telling you that the main character is not about to make it to the end of it, then reading the whole book would feel pretty useless.
Chapter 8
There’s only one well-constructed sentence needed to trigger a whole thought process. Sometimes even less.
We have this great capacity to embrace new information using all of the body’s sensors and rapidly start processing it without further added like nothing else would be more critical.
But the online environments have been built around our rich emotional budget, and often we find ourselves looking to replenish it by finding the most valuable piece of content that we can devour.
Chapter 9
One of the most satisfying goals a person can achieve is changing themselves into the version they always dreamed of being but in a very unintentional way.
Like the universe blessed them with a completely revamped perspective and lifestyle, one that wasn’t even considered from the beginning.
The scene is set by a thought, written, spoken, or sacredly kept inside the mind, and then led by the conscious or unconscious decisions that drive the person toward their desired outcome. What’s between the start of the journey and actually completing the last checkpoint for achieving the goal is a journey that most of the time doesn’t end as fast as we would wish.
Chapter 10
Big
words like “love” or “death” and unforgettable moments that keep your
soul longing for that outer world experience are what keep this
newsletter going.
And every single time we manage to go through a specific idea. A feeling you experienced at some point, or will in the unexpected future.
Maybe it’s time to simplify this experience and dive into different narratives.
Chapter 11
The clock is ticking. You’re getting more and more ready for the future.
* Tick, Tack
You’re not sitting in your room. You turn more and more frustrated over the tiny particles of dust that are now lying over the most fashionable clothes you could be wearing on a Friday night. And yet something’s not right.
The mirror tells you to watch out for the smallest details in your movement.

Chapter 13
Walking with your bare feet on the hot sand heating up since sunrise is as difficult as it is to breathe the hot air when walking down the crowded places of the busiest boulevards in your city. But instead of sitting with that discomfort, you keep walking to reach your destination.
And it’s not always the destination that keeps you going, but the dread of staying in a place that’s not meant for enjoying because it’s a transit-only space. You’re not supposed to stop there.
And you can feel it around you when everyone bumps into you for walking too slow.
Chapter 14
Whether we want this to happen or not, there is a huge truth about all of us. We are, by the compound efforts of our ancestors, creatures of habit. And here is how.
The body doesn’t thrive on anxiety and fear, and therefore, instead of looking for survival, we turn to the opposite of and we start pursuing ✨comfort✨.
Once we get comfortable, of course, we want more of that. And we start doing the things that bring comfort over and over again until there’s no more need for a conscious decision to do it.
And that means building habits.

Chapter 16
The truth is, everything matters. Everything. To the smallest detail.
The way we get out of bed every morning.
The way our smile is slightly asymmetrical.
The way our voices are a bit too loud in places they shouldn’t.
Many things can turn into unfathomable weights on our minds. Unless we don’t pay attention to them.
Chapter 17
The only unfamiliar aspect of our most beloved comfort drink — for most of us, the privileged not exploited by capitalism — is the temperature of the first taste of a freshly poured cup of coffee. Or tea, we don’t discriminate here.
And you have most definitely experienced this.
Burning your tongue again and again because your brain had yet to understand the minimum time necessary for the hot drink to be drunk safely. It’s funny how those moments were so driven by the reward and much less than the fear of getting hurt.
But such timing precision is a common thing to expect from ourselves.
Chapter 18
I don’t think you can comprehend.
The amount of thoughts you have created, discarded, filtered, joined together, changed, shared, memorized, left to be forgotten. And it all happened in your mind.
And if you’re a fan of astrophysics, you would think that it could amount to a decent spacetime singularity point that existed and at the same time didn’t.
Everything is so densely packed in our jiggly electric brains, and sometimes we’re so out of control.
Chapter 19
There is a time when nothing we ever appreciated looks and feels the same. And if things go a bit in our favor, we get dragged more and more into that abyss of hopelessness.
Because there’s an universal truth about the unfortunate events taking place in our lives.
The truth is: all of those dark times will happen, and the worst case scenarios will often come to reality when we least expect them to.
