Our mission

Conventional school classrooms are outdated

They are overwhelming, bright and cluttered and are a barrier to learning. The chairs and furniture make children uncomfortable and there is little room for movement.

In a world of stress, technology, social media, adversity and trauma, children can become overwhelmed and begin to struggle with their behaviour, mental health and wellbeing. Standard classrooms are making things worse and many children no longer want to be in them.

We believe there is a better way and we are on a mission to prove it!

We create classroom that are designed for children

We take out conventional furniture and transform spaces in educational settings.

Our rooms are calm, safe, trauma informed, inclusive classrooms that put children's social emotional wellbeing at the core of every space.

Schools who have adopted our Therapeutic Classroom Approach have seen significant positive impact in wellbeing, concentration, relationships skills, attendance, regulation and learning outcomes.

What is a therapeutic classroom?

Our classrooms are not just good looking spaces! They are underpinned by trauma informed, attachment aware approaches and neuroscience. Our rooms are designed by Shahana Knight, a childhood trauma and behaviour specialist who has been working to support children's mental health for years. Shahana regularly visits and speaks to children and schools who informed the approach.

(Please note: much of the footage in this video was taken in our first year with pilot schools. Our furniture has now evolved even further!)

Children on heath and care plans have never ever been more settled, they have accessed the curriculum and have for the first time ever scored above average.

The impact is really hard to put into words. We have happy children who love coming to school and who want to learn. We have children who no longer attack staff, kick in walls or trash rooms!

The year group classrooms have been uniquely designed. They are attractive spaces that create a welcoming and calm environment. These deliberate choices, including wooden classroom furniture, sensory factors, equipment and colours, will enhance pupils’ experiences and help them to learn.

Main stream primary

Before they were not accessing any learning. But they are all now sat around the table doing phonics, So we are all excited! They are all going full time – these kids have not done a full day in years. They are all saying I can’t wait to come back. I ummed and ahhed about whether I could do it myself after seeing the photos, but I am so glad I didn’t!
