Thrive Art Collective: Where Artists Grow Together
We support underrepresented creatives in Metro Detroit with workshops, mentorship, and community connections. By partnering with local professionals, Thrive Art Collective gives artists the tools and guidance to grow their careers and thrive together.
Our Goals
1. Give artists the tools to grow.
We offer hands-on workshops that make things like grant writing, pricing, and branding feel less overwhelming, so artists can focus on creating and building sustainable careers.
2. Create spaces for real connection.
We bring artists together with mentors, peers, and community leaders who understand their journey. It’s about building relationships that last far beyond a single workshop.
3. Open doors to new opportunities.
From showcasing work in local events to sharing funding resources, we’re here to make sure underrepresented artists have access to the same opportunities to shine and succeed.

About the Creator
DaJaniere Rice, founder of Janier Co. and Thrive Art Collective, is a multidisciplinary artist from Metro Detroit whose work celebrates Black culture while creating spaces for healing and connection. After struggling with questions like how to price her art, find funding, or navigate the business side of being a creative, she founded Thrive Art Collective to give underrepresented artists the mentorship, resources, and opportunities she once needed herself.
Her work has been exhibited at Irwin House, Norwest Gallery, Detroit Contemporary, the Knight Gallery at CCS, Riverside Arts Center, the University of Michigan, the Ferndale District Library, the Detroit Mayor’s Office, and many other galleries across Michigan and Ohio. Through both her art and her leadership, DaJaniere is creating space for artists to not only make, but to truly thrive.
