Hello!
I’m Lauren, a former national field hockey player who discovered my passion for nature while working at a nature school. That journey led me to become a public school teacher, where I saw firsthand how nature can enhance learning and development. I’m now the author of Me and My Sit Spot, Finding Common Ground, and Sitting With Nature: An Educator's Guide to Sit Spots. I also host the Teach Outdoors podcast, where I share my love for outdoor learning with teachers and educators.
In addition to my writing and podcasting, I’m a speaker and outdoor learning consultant, helping others integrate nature into their teaching. I’m also a mother to two young kids who definitely keep me on my toes! As an extrovert, I get my energy from being around positive, driven people who are always learning and striving to reach their full potential. I love helping others achieve their goals and see them grow.
