What Is Hygge, Anyway?

Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) is a Danish word that I have fallen in love with. Hygge means creating a warm, cozy atmosphere to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures.

  • The smell of cookies in the over - hygge.

  • Cosying up with a loved one for a movie—that’s hygge too.

  • And there’s nothing more hygge (in my world right now) than a Yin Yoga session with other women looking to slow down and be cozy. 


Why This Event Exists:

After spending a week in bed, cold and tired, I wanted to hibernate in a fulfilling way. Asking myself What do I need? And the answer came to me: Cozy yoga, gentle movement, a hot drink, and some time to journal.  Between school runs, dinners, work, and a million “shoulds,” it’s easy to forget how to slow down and actually enjoy yourself.

This isn’t another yoga class or journaling workshop. This is a cozy, Hygge-inspired, playful self-care experience designed specifically for moms who want:

  • Melt tension and actually enjoy a Yin Yoga stretch (without judgment, without guilt)
  • Unload the mental clutter with guided journaling prompts that don’t suck
  • Laugh, recharge, and feel like a badass with cheeky, unapologetic affirmations
