How does grief look and feel different when a non-Muslim loved one passes away?
The Prophet Muhammad (sallahu 'ilayhi wa salaam) loved and lost non-Muslim family members.
Converts to Islam also lose non-Muslim family members.
From the moment they pass away everything is starkly different.
There is no salatul janazah. No du’a for forgiveness. No performing ‘ibadah on their behalf.
No verbal assurances of seeing them again in Jannah.
The experience is so different that many converts are left feeling isolated in their loss and sometimes even questioning their faith.
Join us with Coach Megan Wyatt, who lost both of her non-Muslim parents in 2017 & 2020, as we explore the journey of emotions and steadfastness in the face of such a significant loss.
Megan, a convert of over 25 years, is a life & relationship coach, podcaster, speaker, & trainer known for her work through Wives of Jannah and One Meaningful Life.
Bringing her personal and professional experiences to the table we’ll address:
How can converts effectively manage their emotions when dealing with the loss of a non-Muslim loved one?
What strategies can converts employ to stay grounded in their faith when faced with challenging circumstances?
How can reverts navigate and process the deep pain they experience?
We'll also explore:
The Islamic perspective on compassion during times of grief.
