Are you looking for a space to express, discuss, debate your thoughts?
Somewhere that is fluid, dynamic and strengthening?
One of the biggest challenges I've faced as a micro business owner is isolation.
It's not that isolation can cause loneliness, (although it does)
just as important professionally,
it can contribute to a narrowing of ideas and beliefs.
Without actively seeking and embracing opportunities of thought expansion, your thinking can shrink.
And if you want to be a leader (because you can, no matter how small your business is), that's really unhelpful.
You can also start to believe your own press – both about how great and about how horrible you are doing.
Imposter Syndrome breeds in a vacuum.
Connecting with others is a way to reduce isolation stress, enhance creativity and inspire confidence.
However, how do you make that happen? Particularly when you work online.
📌 You don’t have the luxury of tea room or water cooler conversation.
📌 You don’t have someone organising morning teas or professional development days, or even meetings! (who would have thought you’d miss meetings….)
Any connection needs to be intentional and then requires effort to sustain.
To help you with this, I’ve created the Creating Connection Circle.
It's open to you if
💜 You are part of my world that receives the regular email that gives insights, strategies, support so that you can create and maintain a sustainable private practice
💜 You are a therapist – psychologist, counsellor, mental health social worker or occupational therapist - and the boss of your own micro business.
It’s an online space where you can come and share a story about what’s going in your life/work, share inspiration, discuss your newest ideas or something you’ve been reading.
It's one of the free perks of being part of the Private Practice Sustainability online community.
Note: You will receive emails about weekly. These will include bits about how to incorporate self-care into your day and opportunities to participate in activities such as the Creating Connection Circle and the Telehealth Availability List. .
I look forward to seeing you in an upcoming Creating Connection Circle. Keep an eye in your inbox for dates and joining details, as well as other bits and pieces to do with Private Practice Sustainability and fierce self-care.
