A Year of Peace

Rewire your nervous system & return to calm.

53 Peace Techniques

What are those? 🤔

🤓 Peace Techniques, or emotional hygiene techniques, come in two types:

🤠 1. daily habits and routines that support a calm baseline

😎 2. tools you can use in the moment to help your nervous system calm down

What does that mean? 🤨

😌 You feel overall calmer

😮‍💨 You calm down faster.

🥹 When you experience fear or anger, the spike is lower.

🥳 You prevent spiralling out of control so you can act instead of reacting.

Why do I need 53?! 😐

🙃 Everyone is different and so is every situation. More tools means, more options, so you can choose

😏 the right tool in the moment

🙂 the perfect daily habits for you now

😊 your personal toolkit for future use

This course is for you if...

you've never heard of emotional hygiene before but having habits that help you calm down every single day and release anger and fear makes sense.

you've already noticed that techniques you learned in the past only work sometimes. Having an entire toolkit to fall back on instead of a single technique, sounds good!

you want a new normal: calm and relaxed.

you want long-term change.

you are ready to take care of yourself.

you like short exercises you can practise during the day.

you are good at trying and practising new techniques by yourself.

FAQs

No problem at all. This course is designed to support you. Each e-mail stands on its own, so you can jump back in anytime.

The videos are between 2-10 minutes long, most are on the shorter side. I explain the technique and you have a week to try and test it for yourself. If it works for you, it's a keeper and if not, the next technique is already queued up for you.

Nope! If you've got an e-mail address and are willing to show up for yourself, you're all set. This course meets you exactly where you are.

Skip it, please. When I first learned ways to reduce anxiety and stress, I read everywhere that I should try box breathing. It took years before I could use that particular breathing technique because it turns out that some of us, like me, cannot use breathwork to calm down. Box breathing freaked me out even more. So if any of the techniques in this course make you uncomfortable or distress you, STOP immediately. Pick a technique you liked from a previous week and focus on that instead.

You get 53 techniques and not all of them are for you. Some you might appreciate later when you feel overall calmer and then you can come back to those. But some will just never click and that's OK. It's why I share 53 so you can pick and choose whichever works best for you in the moment.

That is an excellent question! If you haven't done so already, you want to start your journey into peace with A Month of Peace. It's free and works exactly like this course: 5 simple peace techniques, one technique each week. By the end of the month you'll have 5 additional peace techniques and know if you want to keep going.

Yes. This course isn’t about finding “the one thing that finally works”—it’s about building a system of calm that fits you. You’ll learn dozens of techniques, so you’re no longer left hoping one trick will save the day. (And then feel stranded on the days it doesn't.)

You have 14 days to decide if this course feels right. If not, just send a message to [email protected] requesting a refund. You do not have to give a reason. 🙂

Yes! Just e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll send you a direct link.

No. A Year of Peace offers tools to build emotional resilience, but it’s not meant to replace professional mental health care. If you're in acute distress or need immediate support, please reach out to a qualified therapist or mental health professional. You deserve care that meets you where you are.
