Yoga goes beyond physical poses.
Yoga teaches you to live with more peace and ease in your mind and heart. Yoga teaches you to be kinder to yourself and others.
This is yoga off the mat.
When you practice yoga off the mat, you practice strategies that create less stress and anxiety in your life, and give you control over your thoughts and actions.
What is Sangha?
The 3 pillars of Buddhism are Buddha (teacher), Dharma (teachings), and Sangha (community).
Getting together with a community of people looking to explore the teachings of yoga off the mat is what Sangha Sundays are all about.
Imagine what it would feel like:
to let go of anxiety and feel peaceful and content every day.
to respond to challenging people in a way that would leave you feeling seen, heard, and that you truly communicated your thoughts.
to step into self-compassion and let go of self-judgment and criticism.
to set down perfectionism and live with more freedom.
Hi! I'm Janine Agoglia.
I've been teaching yoga since 1998 and am passionate about helping people over 50 live their yoga practice, both on and off the mat. As a Type A "recovering" perfectionist, I have found yoga to be a key factor in my ability to let go of anxiety and embrace what is. Practicing yoga, both on and off the mat, allows me to live with an open heart and open mind, finding ease and joy in my daily life.
I'm excited to support you in your journey toward self-discovery, compassion, and contentment. Let's grow and explore together!
Sangha Sundays is your opportunity to explore yoga off the mat in a safe, supported, online community.
Join me once a month to explore different aspects of yoga off the mat. Subjects will include:
Letting go of self judgment
Embracing self-compassion
Setting down perfectionism
Hearing and listening to your inner wisdom
Connect with like-minded, growth oriented people who, like you, want to understand themselves better.
Let go of habits that no longer serve you and lean into a more truthful and authentic life.

Meditation
Each session will begin with a short meditation practice to bring you into your body and help you feel more grounded and present.
The purpose of this Sangha is to support growth on your human journey and all the bumps and swerves that come with it.
Feel seen, heard, and held by compassionate hearts.
What it's like to work with Janine
Not always easy to be open and frank about self criticism but Janine created such a trusting and safe environment that everyone was able to share painful incidents without shame. There is no one better equipped to lead such thought provoking sessions than Janine and for that, I have extraordinary gratitude and an abiding love for her and her practices.
From the moment I sat in the first circle, I felt safe, even with people I mostly didn't know. Janine held the space like a loving, accepting embrace. In this space of openness and vulnerability, with other like-minded humans, I was able to deepen my self-compassion and move it from something I knew in my head to something I could feel in my heart.
