GrowFree’s Fight Flight Freeze & Me is more than a course. Alongside being educational (in the true meaning of bringing out what’s within), it is a therapeutic experience, a training opportunity, a gateway into connection and community and an invitation to bring you back into your innate power and eros.
Fight Flight Freeze & Me
explores our separation from wholeness and awesomeness through trauma;
helps us befriend fragmented personality parts and release our truly miraculous Self;
offers a map for the nervous system, showing how to relate to this part of you (and others) in empowering ways;
gives insight into ‘practice’ and practices, showing how to resource ourselves more fully.
You will get to know
the nature and mechanics of traumatic experience; how common it is and how it gets stuck on re-re-repeat
how your nervous system speaks and how you can speak to it
how to guide yourself back to a sense of safety and transform trauma into purpose, creativity and gold-lined growth
the beautiful biology beneath guilt, shame, fault and blame and the fakey-cake-baking stories they tell you
the nature of attachment and Polyvagal theory in personal, intimate ways
about ‘practice’ as an approach to healing and growth and about different practices you can use to develop resilience, awareness and resources
about archetypes as natural, free internal resources, deepening and transforming your relationship with an important one for healing
You will also
gain insight into how we release deep, even pre-verbal and ancestral trauma, through attending Trauma Healing Circles
identify intelligent next steps in your journey, filling-up or re-freshing your personal toolkit.
get clearer on how we can support each other, our families and children in these ways
find a community of peers and practitioners for the journey.
When is Fight Flight Freeze & Me 2025?
The course will run online on Wednesday evenings from 26th February to 26th March.
If there is local Aberdeenshire interest there will be an in-person workshop complementing online sessions.

Emma B
Educator, Creator, Yoga Therapist & Trauma Specialist
Trained extensively in traditional Yoga schools, contemporary approaches to trauma and indigenous practices, Emma now playfully weaves together Yoga, somatic inquiry, story-making, sound, attachment and ancestral trauma healing, nature connection & local plant medicine for health, healing, growth & connection. She co-founded the GrowFree Community to nurture new ways of living, healing and being together.
Sahajo Stewart
Ecological Educator, Mentor, Storyteller & Song-holder
A member since the start, Sahajo is part of the fabric at GrowFree. She has co-facilitated the Fight, Flight, Freeze & Me Course and completed our full 2024 training package. Combining an educational background, experience in GrowFree and other peer support settings, indigenous practice, motherhood and a love of nature, Sahajo creates and holds space intuitively for others healing from trauma.
Georgia Brooker
Permaculture Educator, Mother Nature Circle Facilitator & Poet
Another co-founding member of GrowFree, and with a rich background in education and learning, Georgia weaves strands from life-roles spanning motherhood, permaculture teaching and design, community gardening, tai chi practice, and Humanist Celebrant experience.

The materials and links to join live sessions will be provided by email as well as options on our online community platform (Mighty Networks) and a WhatsApp group. You can choose any or all of these.
Yes. It's helpful to make as many sessions live as you can, but there will be recordings of the teaching sessions. We won't be recording the Sanctuaries or Trauma Healing Circles, but they continue out with courses like FFF2025 and there is the option to join on an ongoing basis.
There will be recordings of the teaching sessions, not of Trauma Healing Circles or Sanctuaries.
We'll leave the material up in the community platform and YouTube until around Spring Equinox at least. You will be able to download and save the rest practices on your device so you have access to them whenever you choose.
Providing this on a donation basis means that everyone can choose what is comfortable for them to pay.
There are significant development, admin, promotion, facilitation and support energy and resources required to run something like this, along with hidden costs (insurance, banking) and technical costs (software & platforms).
Once these costs are met, any further proceeds will go towards the provision and access of GrowFree trauma-informed peer support for free for those who need it.
We know the value of our offerings to your quality of life is significant. If you can pay £135 that would be amazing and you will be contributing to all of the costs and offsetting the costs of someone paying at a lower price point. If you can pay £105, you will also be contributing to all of the costs.
If £75-95 is comfortable this is also a really helpful contribution towards facilitation, admin and a little towards the technical costs. If £35-50 is manageable you will still be making a great contribution and we want you to participate. You will be helping to build our community.
We recommend making at least this level of contribution as it requires an investment from you that will support your commitment to making a positive change.

Fight Flight Freeze & Me 2025 is being run by GrowFree, GrowFree with Emma B and The GrowFree Community.
GrowFree Community Foundation (GFCF) is an unincorporated Community Organisation with constitution and asset-lock run by a committee of founding members. We're planning to become fully incorporated in 2025. GFCF is the beneficiary of any surplus proceeds once other costs have been met.
