ABOUT US
Why I Created Calm Endings
I’ve always seen death like an airport terminal—a place of waiting, of wondering, of quiet moments before the next departure. Some people arrive early with time to prepare. Others are rushed through, overwhelmed, unsure of where to go. But no matter how you get there, what happens in that space—the conversations, the decisions, the presence—matters more than most people realize.
Calm Endings was created to support that sacred in-between. It’s a place to ask questions, find clarity, and feel held when you don’t know what comes next. Whether you're facing death yourself or caring for someone you love, my goal is to walk with you—offering guidance, emotional support, and the practical tools you need to navigate everything from medical choices and paperwork to legacy, comfort, and grief. You don’t have to do this alone. Let this be your gate of peace.

ABOUT ME
Katrina Wright RN, BScN
I’m Katrina Wright—a registered nurse, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a niece, an Aunt and grand-daughter and a woman forever changed by the beauty and mystery of endings.
I’ve been nursing for over twelve years, working in hospitals, hospice, and other care settings where life and death often stand side by side. And through it all, I’ve learned that presence matters more than perfection.
Sitting with my grandfathers as they passed left something permanent in me. I saw how powerful it was to be fully present—how stillness can hold something sacred, even in the hardest moments.
Years later, when my daughter was placed on my chest, I felt that same stillness—the quiet presence I had only felt before in death. That was the moment I knew: birth and death are connected. Both are thresholds. Both shape us.
Calm Endings is the offering of everything I’ve learned—through nursing, through loss, through life. I’m here to walk with you, wherever you are in this chapter.
