Foundation WERK
The required first session
for strength coaching.
Foundation WERK is a
45-minute one-on-one coaching session.
You’ll leave knowing exactly what to do next.
It’s how we make sure strength training feels
safe, clear, and doable from day one.
This isn’t a “quick intro” or a generic assessment.
It’s a coached working session where we:
see how your body moves today
educate on form in the patterns that matter most
take the guesswork out of ‘doing it wrong.’
choose the next step based on you

You’re also welcome to begin with a
beginner-friendly open class.
Why We Start With Foundation WERK
Most people don’t need more uncertainty or fear.
They’ve already had enough of that.
What they need is a starting point that fits their body, their life, and their current comfort level.
You don’t want to waste time.
You don’t want to get hurt.
And you don’t want to feel out of place.
Maybe you’ve been through injuries, setbacks, or life events that changed how your body feels.
Maybe you’re brand new, out of a routine, managing aches, or tired of guessing your way through workouts.
Foundation WERK replaces that uncertainty with clarity before you move forward.
What we actually do in Foundation WERK?
This session is practical.
You’ll move, I’ll coach, and you’ll leave knowing what to do next.
1) We Get the Real Story
what you want to feel stronger doing
what’s been getting in the way
injury history and movement concerns
what you’re nervous about — yes, we talk about that too
2) We Look at Your Movement Patterns
We work through the basics that drive almost everything we do here:
squat / sit-to-stand
hinge
push + pull
core + breathing
balance + control
Nothing intense or rushed.
Just enough to see what your body needs to feel capable and supported.
3) You Learn Form With Coaching
This is where Foundation WERK is different from assessments elsewhere.
You’ll get:
clear cues you can actually remember
adjustments that match your body
appropriate loading — or no load — so things feel successful, not overwhelming
Confidence is built with intent — not wished for.
4) We Choose Your Path Forward
After Foundation WERK, we guide you into the training structure that best fits your goals:
Private Coaching (1:1) — fully personalized support
Semi-Private Training (2–3 people) — shared coaching with structure
Small Group Strength (WERK Hard) — coached sessions with built-in progression
